On May 5th 2017 the Tempus Public Foundation organised the big 30 years Erasmus Day in Budapest, Hungary. The audience was warmly welcomed by Gabor Zupko, the Head of European Commission Representation in Hungary.

The future Erasmus students had the possibility to listen to many interesting presentations from former Outgoings. I was one of the former Erasmus students who tried to motivate the future generation. It was an amazing experience to be on the stage and being the ambassador of Graz, my beloved Erasmus city.

Future Erasmus students got to know the stories of different Erasmus students, who are very succesful now, because they have found their dream jobs thanks to the Erasmus programme. Some are for example reporters, confectioners and bloggers now.

Since there is no party without cake, a big Erasmus birthday cake was one of the highlights during the evening. This amazing cake was created by Gellert Szo, who won the Best Cake competition in Hungary, twice.

It was a pleasure to meet with so many amazing people and see how Erasmus has changed their lives. The beauty of Erasmus was all around us.

Thank you Europe for investing in our future!
