Erasmus+ Incoming students at the Mayor’s reception in Graz
The Erasmus+ incoming students of the University College of Teacher Education Styria from Italy, Spain, Estonia, Croatia, Turkey, the Netherlands, Germany and the Czech Republic were invited to a reception with the mayor of Graz on the 14th of November 2017.
Unfortunately, the Mayor could not be there so City Counselor Dr. Günter Riegler took over. He gave a warm and welcome opening speech about the city and student’s life in Graz. Besides his speech, the vice rector of the Medical University of Graz also addressed the international students with some greeting words. Two students of the Medical University of Graz talked about their Erasmus way of life and the difference to their own country. Before the party started City Counselor Dr. Günter Riegler wanted to state that the City of Graz is very fond of the fact that so many students chose Graz as their Erasmus City, he thanked everybody and stated: “You arrive as strangers but leave as friends”.
Once again, the mayor’s reception was a great networking event for international students. Big thanks to our Mayor Siegfried Nagl, City counselor Dr. Günter Riegler and the city of Graz.
