The Erasmus+ incoming students from the University College of Teacher Education Styria had the possibility to spend an active Welcome Weekend from the 6th until the 8th of October in the beautiful region of Stubenberg, in Austria.
In the Winter Semester 2017/18 the University College of Teacher Education Styria in Graz, hosts an international group of 12 students from Spain, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Italie, Estonia and Turkey. The weekend was a great possibility for the team of the Institute of Diversity Management and International Relations and the Erasmus students to get to know each other in various team building activities.
The international students were lucky because the weather was wonderful so they were able to enjoy the amazing nature and of course the “Stubenbergsee”. On Saturday morning there were various team building activities and a land art competition. In the afternoon the students went hiking and enjoyed the nice surroundings of Stubenberg and visited a typical Austrian Buschenschank. In the evening there was a workshop called “European Dimension in Culture, Society and Education” which is part of their International Teacher Competence course. On Sunday morning there was a Reflection round were the students could share their opinion about the Welcome Days. After that it was already time to say goodbye again.
The Welcome Weekend is always a great way to “Break the Ice” and as always it was a great succes! Big thanks to our students’ union for supporting this event!
