The Erasmus+ incoming students of the University College of Teacher Education Styria from Spain, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Great Britain and Germany were invited to a reception with the mayor of Graz on the 4th of May 2017.

The mayor of Graz Mag. Siegfried Nagl gave an warm opening speech about the city and student’s life in Graz and welcomed the students. He told the international students in an humorous way: “If you don’t like something in Graz come and tell me, but if you like something in Graz, travel everywhere and tell the people! Don’t forget, you are the ambassadors of the city.”

Besides the mayor’s speech, Mag. Kristina Edlinger-Ploder, the rector of the CAMPUS 02 Graz, also addressed the international students with her warm greeting words. Before the party started, two international students, a student from Spain and a student from Finland had the opportunity to speak about their experiences so far and welcomed their international colleagues.

The mayor’s reception was a great networking event for the more than 600 international students who are currently studying in Graz. A big thanks to the mayor Mag. Siegfried Nagl and the city of Graz.
