Many language teachers, teacher educators and second language acquisition researchers have expressed the conviction that the primary aim of foreign language teaching is to enable learners to communicate with people from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds in an increasingly multicultural world.
The Burgenland University of Applied Sciences and Arts is offering weekly intensive language courses for Austrian university students, hosted in the following Eastern Europe countries: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Russia, Croatia and Poland. Students from Teacher Education Universities can also apply for the offers in Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
Estonian HEI-s are organizing Estonian Intensive Language Courses (ESTILC) for the 2016/2017 incoming Erasmus exchange students! The courses are funded by the Estonian Ministry of Education and Research and are therefore free of charge for the student! (Depending of the organizer there may be a small fee for the cultural programme).
