In order to build on the results of the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development 2005-2014 and provide a new impulse, UNESCO, as the lead agency of the Decade, has developed a World Programme of Action on Education for Sustainable Development. The World Programme of Action is also intended to be a concrete and practical contribution to the post-2015 development and education agendas. It provides a detailed roadmap for concrete implementation.
