On October 29, 2025, about 200 international students were invited by Mayor Elke Kahr to a Welcome Reception at the Kunsthaus Graz. In the beautiful space04 hall, the Mayor warmly welcomed all new exchange students to the city, including the international incoming students from the University College of Teacher Education Styria.

Dieter Hardt-Stremayr, Head of Graz Tourism, gave an inspiring and entertaining presentation about the city, sharing great tips on what to see, do, and enjoy while living here.

The students used the chance to get to know each other and exchange ideas while enjoying music and drinks. They even got small presents as a bonus. It was a great opportunity to experience the friendly spirit of Graz.

The University College of Teacher Education Styria is extremely grateful to Mayor Elke Kahr for the kind invitation. The event once again highlighted how important international students are for Graz, and how the city aims to make them feel at home.
